How-to: create links for external players to tune in

The following explanations will help you to create your own startup files for common players in order to include them as "tune-in links" on your website.

Visitors decide for themselves which installed player they want to listen to your livestream with and click on the appropriate link.

Web radio startup files for Shoutcast

The Shoutcast URL for tuning-in, which is embedded in a small text file, consists of the parameters, HOST and PORT. Replace these two placeholders with your individual server data and be sure to keep the colon (:) between them.

1. Prepare locally a new file with suffix .pls (z. B. stream24.pls)
